1. Seeing Red
When he saw the flash of red, Kadaj barely had time to react before he was roughly shoved up against the wall and devoured by Reno’s hands and lips.

2. Love
It seemed like a stupid and overused four-letter word, but Reno could think of no other way to describe his feelings for the young Remnant.

3. Hair
“Hold still! I’m almost done!” Kadaj laughed as he ran the brush through his squirming lover’s long crimson locks.

4. Dark
It sometimes frightened Reno how easily Kadaj could slink through the darkness; quiet, deadly, and unnoticed.

5. Leaving
No matter how many times Reno reassured him that all would be well, Kadaj couldn’t help but cling to him with teary eyes before every dangerous mission for ShinRa.

6. Break Away
Reno sighed and fell back onto the bar stool, hearing the door to Kadaj’s room slam shut above him; though the Remnant had broken away from him before anything could happen, he knew Kadaj would soon be his.

As the redhead stared down at Kadaj’s hot sweat-slicked body moving under him, he knew there was no greater heaven than this.

“Kadaj doesn’t do innocent.” Reno smirked up at Rude as they wandered the halls of ShinRa. “Especially not in the bedroom.”

Kadaj growled over his shoulder at his smirking lover sitting behind him. “Reno, if you keep grabbing my ass while I steer my bike, I swear on my Mother, I will drive us both off a cliff.”

Reno clutched Kadaj’s broken and bloodied body to his chest as tears poured down his cheeks. “Breathe, baby…” He whispered. “Please, breathe again.”

Without a word, Kadaj stepped into the shower fully clothed and gently began to clean the blood off his lover’s trembling body, knowing how much Reno needed him after that massacre he witnessed during his mission.

“Are those new?” Kadaj giggled at the half-dressed Turk’s rainbow boxers as he scrambled around the bedroom for his uniform.

Reno and Kadaj were locked in a passionate embrace on the couch, but were rudely interrupted when Loz and Yazoo decided to jump in and cheer them on.

The redhead’s hand reached across the mattress until it made contact with a warm body and, with a yawn, he pulled Kadaj’s sleeping form closer to him.

“Not bad, eh?” Reno asked as he rubbed sun lotion on Kadaj’s back. “I should blackmail Tseng into giving me vacations more often.”

“I’ll n-never…tell you where Reno is…” Kadaj glared up at his captor, his tear-filled eyes swimming with pain. “…y-you’ll have to k-kill me first…”

The Turk watched from afar as Kadaj sparred with his older brothers, admiring the youth’s swift cat-like grace on the battlefield.

“You’re still beautiful.” Reno whispered as the youth observed the angry bruise below his right eye in the bathroom mirror.

Whenever he saw trouble lurking in those glowing Mako eyes, Reno knew he was in for a long sleepless night at Kadaj’s sweet mercy.

When Kadaj reminisced about how he was rejected by his Mother, Reno would hold the troubled youth and kiss away the tears that poured down his cheeks.

When Rufus ShinRa appeared at the door with news of Reno’s assassination during a mission, Kadaj collapsed to the floor and let out a loud sorrowful wail for his fallen lover.

Reno wrapped the bandage around Kadaj’s finger and kissed it softly. “It may only be a paper cut, but I still say you could have gotten an infection if I wasn’t here to save the day.”

Snatching his Souba from the chair, Kadaj was shocked to find a ring of flowers tied around the hilt, complete with a small note reading: ‘Love: your Stupid Turk’.

The day before every dangerous mission, Kadaj and Reno would make passionate love long into the night, fearing that this may be the last time they could ever be together.

“If Reno expects me to wear this…” Kadaj fumed, holding up the maid outfit for his brothers to see. “I swear on Mother I will shove a sock down his throat.”

After Reno had left the room in a rage, Kadaj stared at the door for a long while, feeling cold and abandoned.

Kadaj’s terror-filled dreams would keep him up at night, trembling and whimpering, until the soft sound of Reno’s soothing voice in his ear lulled him back to sleep.

“N-No…” Reno clung to the doctor’s robes, eyes pleading and tear filled. “…you can’t let Kadaj die…he’s…he’s all I have.”

It was as though Kadaj’s lips were laced with a drug that kept Reno coming back for more and more of his sweet kisses.

As Kadaj watched Reno fall to one knee and pull a small box out of his jacket pocket, it was as though time was standing still, and it was only the two of them left in the entire world.

Kadaj curled up on the sofa with his cell phone clutched to his ear, dying to hear Reno’s voice for the first time since he had left for his mission a week ago.

When the redhead caught Kadaj in his arms after the boy had fallen out of one of the ice trees of the Forgotten City, the youth smiled and said, “My hero.”

“I know your Mother hurt you, but I bet I can heal you if you would just give me the chance…” Reno whispered, holding his hand over Kadaj’s heart.

Reno lay next to Kadaj and smiled, “It’s a good thing you and me are both guys, baby, cause I can’t imagine how fucked up our family would be if we ever had kids.”

“I know you wanna kiss me, but do you need me to get you a footstool, babe?” Reno smirked, towering over his much shorter sulking lover.

“You’d think I’d find it annoying, but I really don’t.” Kadaj smiled at his brothers as Reno continued to sing very loudly from the shower.

Kadaj rolled his eyes as he leaned against Rufus’s desk. “You and I both know Reno is the type of guy who thinks he’s so hot he can make anyone spontaneously combust just by looking at him.”
